What a Year Makes

Well the last year has been nothing but interesting.  I moved, no longer work for the company I was at for 8 years, decided what I wanted to be and went back to college, went back to church, got a new job, saw my brother get married, found out sister eloped, was on a podcast, got a church calling, dated a few dudes, and best of all, I got to spend the whole summer with AK.  The longest time we've spent together since her birth.

I am going to school for a Bachelors in Human Resources.  So far so good, although this last semester kicked my butt.  I was not motivated to do my classes, and here I am, 3 weeks left of the term and trying to complete a 4 credit class.  Go me!

I love my new place of employment.   Absolutely love it! It's such a positive environment, good people, good perks, no drama, super good times.

If you want to hear the podcast, let me know and I'll send you the link. It was already outdated by the time it aired.

The dudes. Oh holy shit.  The first one was a whirlwind of WTF's. It ended when he waived his "I'm crazy" flag by telling me I was still in love with Corey, which I find hard to do when I was never in love with him, I just had a kid with the guy. Sheesh.  The second was better to some extent.  I didn't do anything that I normally do in relationships, yet it still didn't work out.  We decided that we are better as friends, and that the relationship wasn't going anywhere, which is pretty much what I knew from the beginning, but was too afraid to admit.  He taught me a lot. I truly hope we can be friends because I do care about him- he was really good to/for AK and I. A very kind person, just a little scared.

So to back up just a little, I went and saw a psychic a couple weeks after meeting dude #2.  She confirmed a lot about the kind of person I am, how I am, and other things that I only know about.  I asked about dude #2 and she said that he wasn't seeing anyone else (yet he was) and that we would be together for a year before I found "the one."  So I guess that's why I held on to the dating aspect of the relationship hoping things would change, and was disappointed when it obviously didn't end up like that.

So here I am, again, single and not wanting to mingle.  I am stir crazy, I want to get out of Utah for a bit, refocus on myself, focus more on school, being more dedicated to losing weight, having fun, spending time with AK, and have no expectations about anything or anyone.
